Autologous Plasma Rich Platelets Therapy aka PRP Vampire Treatment

A-PRP therapy, also known as the PRP Vampire Treatment, is the skin rejuvenation and dermal filling technique which sources your body’s own natural filler. A sample of your own blood is taken and put into a machine which separates out the serum and platelets. This is then injected into the area needing treatment where it stimulates the cells to regenerate new tissue and improve the skin tone. By only using your own blood this is an extremely safe and natural approach to rejuvenating the skin.

The duration of the tissue regeneration process is approximately 300 days, but the clinical effect should last longer because of new collagen and elastin formation following the PRP Vampire Treatment.

Areas suitable for treatment

  • For the improvement of skin texture in sun damaged skin on the face, neck and backs of hands
  • Increased volume and line reduction under the eyes, the eyelids, nose-to-lip lines, mouth corner lines, lips, and augmentation of lips, cheeks and chin areas
  • Acne scars

Does it hurt?

The platelet rich plasma is injected either as a mesotherapy technique (multiple injections very superficially into the skin) or exactly like a dermal filler into wrinkles and lines. A numbing cream will be applied to the areas treated, which means that the treatment is virtually pain-free.

Am I suitable?

Age 30 – 40 years: In this age category the main aim is rejuvenation and prevention of collagen breakdown. Re-stimulation of new collagen and elastin production helps to slow down the ageing process. One treatment every 2-3 years is sufficient.

Age 40 – 50 years: In this age category the aim is rejuvenation and to attempt reversal of the ageing process which is more difficult. More re-stimulation of collagen and elastin production is necessary. The initial treatment should be followed by a second treatment 6 months later and a third treatment 9 months after the second treatment. Follow-up ‘maintenance’ treatments may be necessary every 12-18 months.

Age 50+ years: In this age category the aim is rejuvenation and to attempt more intense reversal of the ageing process. The initial treatment should be followed by a second treatment 3-6 months later and a third treatment 6 months after the second treatment. Follow-up ‘maintenance’ treatments may be necessary every 12 months.
